Diablo SE
The purple icon of the 90s. A 525-hp rear-wheel-drive beast, forever immortalized by Jamiroquai's "Cosmic Girl."
About this archive
The Lamborghini Diablo SE 30, launched in 1993, represents the wildest and purest expression of the Diablo lineage. Created to celebrate the brand's 30th anniversary, it was designed as a "street-legal race car," pushing the boundaries of grand touring into the realm of the irrational.
Instantly recognizable by its iconic Viola Metallic hue, the SE 30 stands out through a drastic weight-reduction program and sharpened aerodynamics. Beneath its redesigned engine cover, the legendary 5.7-liter V12 was tuned to produce 525 horsepower, delivering all its soul to the rear wheels only. Unlike the VT version, the SE 30 rejected all-wheel drive in favor of a raw, demanding, and unfiltered driving experience.
A true 1990s pop culture icon, it secured its place in history screaming through the desert in Jamiroquai’s "Cosmic Girl" music video, symbolizing an era of flamboyant excess and speed. The interior, draped in Alcantara and stripped of unnecessary luxury, serves as a reminder that this limited edition wasn't built for show, but to conquer the asphalt.
With only 150 units produced, the SE 30 is more than a supercar: it is a landmark in Lamborghini’s history, capturing the very essence of the fighting bull before the era of modern refinement.
